Learn how to train your dog using a system used by professional dog trainers
Create a calm connected relationship between you and your dog
In this program, you’ll learn how to reintroduce yourself to your dog, and with that perception change, see all the behavioral changes that accompany it. We’re not talking about basic obedience like “sit” or “stay,” but true behavioral change that addresses the root causes like fear, anxiety, and aggression.
In this program Blair will teach you virtually his board and train that he has been doing the past 17 years. Using Zoom, Blair will dissect the videos you send to him, in live time, for further understanding and answer all questions along the way. He will also teach you personally each new check point and how to achieve them.
It might not be in person but it is still very personal.
This virtual program includes:
- Extensive training content delivered through modules and videos
- Direct access to Blair throughout the process
- Personalized coaching and guidance
- Video submissions with detailed feedback

How does this compare to other dog training programs?
| Primal Needs Virtual Guide Behavioral System | Typical Virtual / Online Dog Training Program | |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Focus | Serious behavior change: aggression, reactivity, anxiety, impulse control, household chaos, leash issues, and real-life control. | Often focused on basic obedience, puppy manners, tricks, or generalized training concepts. |
| Methodology | Built around 4 pillars: the dog, the human, the environment, and support. | Usually focused mostly on teaching the dog commands or following pre-recorded lessons. |
| Written Curriculum | 150+ pages of written behavioral literature designed to educate the owner, explain the process, and create deeper understanding. | Usually short handouts, PDFs, app lessons, or limited written instruction. |
| Video Curriculum | 3+ hours of structured video content that walks clients through the system step by step. | Often video-only, lesson-based, or spread across generic modules. |
| Level of Access | 7 days a week direct support and coaching. Clients are not left stuck, confused, or waiting days for answers. | Often limited to scheduled sessions, group forums, email support, or delayed responses. |
| Support Style | High-touch, on-call style guidance so clients can get help when behavior problems actually happen. | Support is often limited, automated, group-based, or not included at all. |
| Video Review | Clients submit real videos of their dog, home, handling, walks, and problem moments for personalized review and feedback. | Many programs rely on the owner interpreting lessons alone without detailed review of their actual dog. |
| Real-Life Application | Built for the dog's actual environment: home, doorway, crate, walks, yard, guests, triggers, routines, and daily life. | Often teaches concepts in a controlled or generic way that may not transfer into the owner's real life. |
| Trainer Experience | Created by Blair Diamond with 27+ years of hands-on behavior experience, including serious behavior cases, vet/groomer referrals, working dogs, and expert witness work. | Experience varies widely; many programs are built by trainers without the same level of serious behavior-case background. |
| Behavior vs. Obedience | Focuses on changing the dog's state of mind, patterns, perception, and responses–not just teaching commands. | Often obedience-based: sit, stay, place, recall, leash walking, and reward-based exercises. |
| Owner Coaching | The human is coached directly because the owner's timing, leadership, structure, and consistency determine whether results last. | Owner education may be secondary or limited to watching lessons. |
| Environmental Restructuring | The program looks at household patterns, routines, management, structure, and what may be reinforcing the behavior. | Many programs don't deeply address the home environment or daily reinforcement patterns. |
| Personalization | The system is customized through support, video review, troubleshooting, Zoom coaching, and direct feedback. | Usually more one-size-fits-all unless upgraded to private sessions. |
| Accountability | Clients are guided, checked, corrected, and supported through implementation so they don't drift or guess. | Owners may be left to self-direct the work after purchasing the course. |
| Problem-Solving | When something goes wrong, clients can get help understanding what happened, why it happened, and what to change next. | Many programs don't offer real-time troubleshooting for incidents or setbacks. |
| Program Depth | Combines written education, video instruction, direct coaching, video review, Zoom support, and real-life implementation. | Often just a course, app, video library, or limited virtual session package. |
| Client Experience | Concierge-level support with direct access to Blair–not a faceless course, not an assistant-only program, not a "good luck" download. | Can feel transactional, automated, or disconnected after purchase. |
| Best For | Owners dealing with serious behavior issues who need guidance, clarity, accountability, and real support. | Owners looking for basic skills, puppy foundations, tricks, or general obedience help. |
| End Goal | Calm, control, confidence, safety, and lasting behavior change in real life. | Usually improved obedience, better manners, or completion of course lessons. |
Train your dog in the environment where problems actually happen
Why I created this virtual training program
Over the past 27+ years working with dogs—and 20 years running Primal Needs and doing board & trains—I started to see a pattern:
The training itself wasn’t the biggest issue.
The transfer back to the owner was.
You can explain things to people all day long, but most don’t retain much from conversation alone. They need something they can go back to—something they can see, follow, and actually apply.
How this virtual training program is different
The Virtual Guide Behavioral System is not just an online dog training course. It is a guided behavior-change system built around the dog, the human, the environment, and an unprecedented level of support.
Most online programs give you information and leave you to figure out how to apply it. This program gives you the education, the structure, the videos, the written curriculum, the coaching, the video review, and the direct access needed to actually create change.
You are not left guessing.
You are not stuck on read.
You are not trying to solve serious behavior problems alone.
With over 150 pages of written behavioral literature, 3+ hours of video instruction, personal video review, live coaching, and 7-day-a-week access, this is a level of virtual support most dog owners have never experienced before.
Guiding you step-by-step to make lasting behavioral changes.
Instead of me showing up and unintentionally influencing the dog (like a principal walking into a classroom), I had clients film real situations and send them to me. I could break everything down as if I was a fly on the wall—without altering the environment.
That’s when the results started to become more consistent, more transferable, and more real.
The Virtually Guided Behavioral System is the result of all of that.
It’s the same system I’ve used for decades—but instead of me doing the work for you, I guide you step-by-step so you can create the change yourself, in your actual environment.
Because that’s where the behavior is happening.

Curriculum
This program is designed to build step by step, not overwhelm you with information all at once. Each checkpoint introduces new concepts, exercises, and responsibilities for both you and your dog, creating a clear path toward lasting behavioral change. By following the progression in order, you’ll build a solid foundation first, then layer new skills on top of that foundation as your dog becomes more successful.
Most dog owners are never taught how to actually communicate with their dog when something is inappropriate.
In this chapter, you’ll learn the difference between correction and redirection, how dogs naturally communicate boundaries, and how to clearly bridge the language gap between species.
By the end, you’ll understand how to communicate “yes” and “no” in a way your dog can actually understand, instead of simply distracting them away from the behavior.
Success doesn’t come from one exercise—it comes from creating structure throughout your dog’s entire day.
In this chapter, you’ll learn the foundation schedule that the entire program is built upon, how each checkpoint stacks new activities onto that foundation, and how to customize the schedule to fit your lifestyle.
You’ll also learn about the role of the crate, why it can be such a powerful tool, and receive printable examples of your very first day in the program.
Before any tool can be effective, it must first be understood.
In this chapter, you’ll learn how to properly condition your dog to the electronic collar by teaching them where stimulation comes from, how to turn it off, and how to avoid it altogether.
When introduced correctly, the e-collar becomes one of the most effective communication tools available, creating clarity, freedom, and reliability both on and off leash.
The walk is one of the most important classrooms your dog will ever attend.
In this chapter, you’ll learn how to properly use a six-foot leash, apply correction and redirection when appropriate, and build engagement during walks.
You’ll also learn how tools such as the Halti headcollar can be utilized to safely and effectively navigate close-proximity situations while maintaining clear communication with your dog.
Place is far more than simply teaching your dog where to lie down.
In this chapter, you’ll learn how to build duration, accountability, and real-world reliability into the place command.
From guests arriving at the door to everyday household distractions, you’ll teach your dog how to remain calm, focused, and successful regardless of what’s happening around them.
Once a foundation has been established, it’s time to begin integrating your dog back into everyday life.
In this chapter, you’ll learn the Supervised Visual Release of Place system and how it allows your dog to earn greater freedom while maintaining accountability.
This is where structure begins transitioning into real-life living, helping your dog make better choices throughout the home without constant management.
Off-leash freedom should never mean losing control.
In this chapter, you’ll learn how to teach the four core off-leash commands—Go Play, Come, Let’s Go, and Off-Leash Heel—which work together to help you safely navigate the real world with your dog.
Through a series of progressive checkpoints, examples, and training exercises, you’ll learn not only how to give your dog more freedom, but how to responsibly manage that freedom around people, dogs, and everyday distractions.
Training doesn’t end when the program is complete—it simply transitions into everyday living.
In this chapter, you’ll learn how to maintain your dog’s progress, reinforce behaviors without living on a rigid training schedule, and successfully apply your new skills in real-world situations.
From introducing guests into your home to meeting new dogs and creating a sustainable long-term routine, you’ll learn how to enjoy life with your dog while preserving everything you’ve worked so hard to build.
FAQs
If you’re dealing with real behavior problems—reactivity, aggression, anxiety, chaos in the house—that’s exactly what this was built for.
This isn’t obedience. This is behavior.
And behavior happens in your home, on your walks, in your real life… not in a training facility. That’s why this works. We’re not guessing—we’re working through your exact situation, with your dog, step by step.
Most online programs give you videos and send you on your way.
This is hands-on coaching.
You’re getting direct access to me—video review, live Zoom calls, real feedback on what you’re doing, and what needs to change.
We’re not just teaching your dog… we’re coaching you through the process so it actually sticks.
That’s the difference between information… and real results.
You won’t be left guessing.
You’ll be submitting videos, getting feedback, and working directly with me. If something’s off, we catch it early and fix it before it becomes a bigger problem.
That’s why people finally see progress here—because they’re not doing it alone.
Most people I work with have already tried something.
Group classes, private sessions, board & trains, YouTube, advice from friends… and they’re still stuck.
Not because they didn’t try—but because those approaches didn’t address the full picture.
Real behavior change happens when we look at:
- The dog
- The human
- The environment
If you’ve never addressed all three together, you haven’t actually tried everything yet.
You’re not adding time—you’re replacing the time you’re already losing.
Right now, your day is already being eaten up by:
- Managing behavior
- Avoiding situations
- Dealing with chaos
We restructure that time into something productive that actually moves you forward.
Yes—and in many cases, it’s better.
Because we’re working in the exact environment where the problems are happening.
You’re not sending your dog away and hoping it transfers. You’re learning how to handle your dog in real life, with real guidance, in real time.
That’s where lasting change comes from.
More than anywhere else.
You’re not waiting a week for your next session or getting ignored after a lesson.
You have ongoing access, video review, Zoom coaching, and support when you actually need it.
You’re not left on read here.
Those are the dogs I work with every day.
Aggression, reactivity, anxiety, lack of control—this program was built for that level of problem.
Your dog isn’t the exception. You just haven’t had the right system yet.
You’re not locked into something long-term.
If you go through the first phase and decide it’s not the right fit, you can step away before continuing.
But most people don’t—because this is usually the first time things actually start making sense.
No complicated setup.
We’ll guide you on exactly what you need (and what you don’t), based on your dog and your situation.
Calmer behavior in the home. More control on walks. Better decision-making from your dog.
But more importantly—you’ll feel confident again.
You’ll understand your dog, know how to handle situations, and stop feeling like you’re constantly managing chaos.
Most clients start seeing shifts early—because we’re addressing the root, not just symptoms.
But real, lasting change comes from consistency. This isn’t a quick f
ix. It’s a system that creates results that actually hold up in real life.
Both—but the focus is you.
Because your dog already lives with you… not me.
If you don’t know how to lead, communicate, and follow through, the behavior won’t stick. That’s why this works—we build that skillset into you.
Because this isn’t basic training.
You’re paying for:
- 27+ years of experience
- Direct access and coaching
- A system that actually works in real life
- And not having to keep starting over
Most people spend more money bouncing between cheaper options than they would just doing it right the first time.
Real support.
Not generic responses. Not delayed replies. Not surface-level advice.
You get eyes on your situation, feedback on your execution, and guidance when things aren’t going right.
